When I got this tv I knew the remote was important, but it was fate that we should get a puppy that would eat it. You cannot replace it cheaply. You just can't. No universal codes work for it. None. No cable or sattalite company has a working code that will work for it. I use it now for my wii. Nothing else. It will graduate to computer monitor when I get around to getting a VGA cord, but as a tv, no fun! -- Only one small/irritating problem~

I bought this TV in July 2009 for $209 and now it looks like they want over $100 more for it. It is a great TV for $209, but not sure about $300+. For the picture to look its best, you need to be in front of it. If you would be viewing this from the side at all, you probably want to look at a different model. -- Great TV, but not sure about the new price
