User Reviews about SPARKLE SFPX95GT512U2L GeForce 9500 GT 512MB GDDR2 PCI-EXPRESS 2.0 Silent Low Profile HDTV S-Video DVIGraphics Card

This card consumes very little power, the reason I got it as I wanted to upgrade an old computer as cheaply as possible. I could have gotten a better card for the same price, but I also would have had to purchase a $40 to $60 power supply. For this project, the goal was to get a solid card, from a good manufacturer as cheaply as possible... this fit the bill.

It is a 9500 GT, you won't get the performance out of it as you would higher end cards. It is 128-bit, you could do worse. Still a relevant card for video playback and games.

As far as looking blurry, if a video card is defective it will usually be blurry at all resolutions. Normally the cause of blurry video at higher resolutions falls at the feet of the monitor your are using not the video card. If your monitor is a LCD, you need to find out what resolution the monitor's "native resolution" is and set your video card to that. LCD monitors will acceptable multiple resolutions, but only one is what it was designed for and looks best with and that is called the "native resolution". If you want a lower resolution than the native one, use one that does not require interpolation for the best possible display. Example, dont use 1024×768 on a 1280×1024 native resolution monitor, it will look less sharp and possibly destorted.

A google search on you monitors manufacturer and model # with "native resolution" should get you the settings you need. -- Great low-powered video card
